Today we are in a small road just passed Westgate.
It is called Linden Grove and it is full of history.
The houses as you can guess go back a long time and in December 1987, when builders were buiding new houses (you can't see them on the photo) archaeologists recorded finding several pieces of evidence of Roman ndustrial activity in the site.
A new photo of the beautiful city of Canterbury in Kent and surrounding area every day.

I love these old red bricks Rose, of which we have many in Tewkes. That sounds a great find. New development sometimes brings good surprises!
I agree with Lynn -- gorgeous bricks! Have they found any Roman mosaics? That would be quite an event.
Happy New Year Rose from all your Friends in NZ. Bricks are Good.
I love brick buildings and I wonder if the insides are restored?!
