125th Birthday

This week Marks and Spencer is celebrating their 125th birthday.

Doors at Bygone's

We are back at Bygone's, an architectural reclamation shop where you can find some wonderful and unusual things...

Candle Shop

In Canterbury there is a small street called King's Mile where you will find a few small shops.
One of my favourite is this candle shop. They sell the most beautiful candles for a very reasonable price.

Windows Series - Sweetshop

Here we have a gorgeous red window from a sweetshop. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the place.

Next - Sales

Next is a very popular shop and their sales are even more popular.

The doors open at 5am -believe it or not - and by 8am the most interesting items will have gone.

Waterstones in Canterbury

I chose Waterstones as my corner shop because it is my favourite shop in town. Usually my family and I sit in the cafe upstairs while we browse books that we are thinking about buying but are not sure.

When my daughter Elida saw this photo, she asked me if they made this display specially for me because apart from the Cricket topic on the left, I adore all the other subjects.

If you look closer at the themes, you will see Photography on the very left, followed by Travel, with Languages (I speak only 3 but understand 5 and I am working on it) on the front and one of my hobbies: Sudoku. After that you can see Cookery and Wine (French, yes!). All of this is on a street called Rose Lane.

I guess they missed the Shoes theme but I took another picture and posted it in my shoe blog so it won't feel jealous...hehehe
