Chillenden Mill

This is Chillenden Mill. Built in 1868 to replaced a former post mill. This iste has been a place for mills for over 500 years.
It is a Grade II listed building and is looked after by the Chillenden Mill Group.

Queen Elizabeths Gest Chamber

Although there is no evidence that Queen Elizabeth stayed in this place the rumour is that she did, hence its name.

It is an old building and the wood and plaster work is outstanding.

Westgate Towers

Dear readers

I must apologise to you for failing to show you one of the most important buildings of Canterbury.
The Westgate Towers is part of the wall that once surrounded Canterbury. The gate was built 1380 by Archbishop Sudbury and for many years it was a prison.

Today the towers house a museum worth visiting if you are around.

Today we are back at Canterbury Cathedral.
To fnd this wonderful arches you need to go to the back of the building where not all tourists go to.
It is a very quiet area and so, so beautiful....
