Green canopy in Kingston

A few days ago I drove under this green canopy in Kingston.
It was like driving through a forest...so beautiful.

Burnt

I found this burnt car not far from Kingston.
Criminals often burn cars after they commit a crime in order to get rid of any forensic evidence. In this case they almost set fire to an entire forest in a fairly dry week.

Public Foot Path

In England (and Wales) you can find a public footpath in many places. It is not given by permission instead it is a right which people have and believe me, they exercise this right.

According to the Highway Act 1980, Section 26 (creation orders)
5.2 Section 26 of the Highways Act gives an authority the power to create a footpath or bridleway. The authority can do this without getting permission from the person who owns the land that the proposed path will run over.
Luckily that is a right that they don't exercise often!

Bluebells

This is that time of the year when forests in England are covered in a carpet of bluebells.
In England it is illegal - and imoral - to pick bluebells grown in the wild.

West Wood

This is West Wood, a forest that is open to the general public and it is not far from Canterbury.
My family and I often go there in the Spring and Summer for walks. I tis a wonderful place and we never fail to take some great pictures.

On the left where I stood to take this picture there is a car park.
