I finally found my way to Whitstable.
To ensure I had a real experience I sat down in a very welcoming restaurant - The Pearson's Arms Whitststable - and ordered 6 native oysters.
When the food arrived, it looked so yummy that I forgot to take a picture and by the time I remembered it was too late...
So instead you can have the shells!

Interesting name for a restaurant. Looks like you enjoyed your meal.
You needed to order another plate of oysters while your camera was out. About 25 years ago our country club had a Friday lunch with all you could eat oysters. I never saw anyone eat more oysters then me. And they didn't through me out.
Rose, please look at todays blog and open some of the movie clips. The music is at home in our church. I have more doors to the church that I will put on the blog.
So pleased you made it to Whitstable Rose! I hope the sun shone for you, and also hope it lived up to expectations.

It is not uncommon for British pubs to have such names. The food was great although I should not have eaten main course as well (seafood casserole).

Two places of oyster in one go? I can't handle that...

I must thank you for mentioning it. I had a lovely afternoon and bought a few bits from those lovely shops in the high street...
I also picked up a leaflet in one of the shops and found a Mandarin teacher so from now on I shall be going to Whitstable every Thursday... no more excuse to not take photos!
Hi Rose, I have never had an oyster or a Lobster or a Crab.My father said Prawns were the lice of the sea. So maybe I was Brain Washed. From sea food?
Oyster!
I have not tried it but like to experience once time!
Had a very pleasant meal in Whitstable last year while visiting with my Faversham mate. Very scenic, right on the water and ability to see the ships aproach the Thames.
The meal was very good but the dollar against the pound wasn't.
I've eaten the 6 Rock Oyster at the pub 3 years ago when I was visiting England as student. your photo bring back my memory, thanks.
the URL link has my photo of pearson's menu.(but Japanese sorry.)
Rose. Learning Mandarin, wow, I should imagine that is quite difficult? How fortunate you happened to find a teacher in Whitstable. Had you been looking for a teacher or was it a spur of the moment thing? Good luck with the lessons, and hope you have many happy visits here.

Your father was so wrong!
Yum Yum
I had a look but unfortunately I am not familiar with Japanese! :(

I find eating out in England is very expensive even when the pound is low against the dolar! My meal wasn't very expensive but I still paid £30 for 2 courses, a bottle of mineral water and no coffee or dessert. Very expensive, don't you think?
Sue
Thank you. I have wanted to learn Mandarin for a while as part of my "speak 5 languages before I die" project. I found the leaflet by accident but the intention has been there for a long time.
