Leeds Castle is renowed for its aviary. This is one of the many birds they have there.

Peacocks are beautiful birds and their feather colors are stunning to see in the sunshine. Almost as iridescent as those of hummingbirds.

This guy certainly is strutting his stuff. Nice photograph.

I now have 7 blogs. Each one is different. The newest ones are Sendai, Japan, Dances on Sunshine and Thunder Maker.

Hi from South Shields, nice picture you have here today, isn't he a proud one!

I need your support, see my latest post at South Shields Daily Photo

Photographers rights in the UK and worldwide are under increasing threat and we need to make a stand now!

Unless something changes dramatically, this will be the last ever post at South Shields Daily Photo.

Excellent shot! Did you know that these beautiful peacocks are male? Female peacocks are relatively ugly ;)
Surprisingly in animals, males are more beautiful than females to attract them, opposite of human life. Interesting!

Thanks for the photo. It reminds me the Birds Garden of Esfahan.

"males are more beautiful than females to attract them opposite of human life. Interesting!" LOL Meead. Perhaps you haven't been to Paris? ;-)

Lovely to look at. They are kind of loud though.
