This is St Mary's Church has been here for a long time. It was mentioned in the Doomsday book (1085) and building records go back to 1280. It is only a few yards from the house I showed you yesterday.
If you look closely you can see a clock in the tower. According to Tom Reed, in the Guide to Chilham booklet, the clock and the set of 8 church bells date back from the 1720s.

Wow, great photo of a really old church! And I thought the church down the street from where I live, that dates from the early 1920s, was "old." Does the clock still work? Chilham looks like a delightful place to visit!

The clock still works. In fact I remember wondering what time it was when I was behind the church and I heard it striking 1 o'clock.

I love Genealogy too and have traced many of my ancestors and their decendents. In fact we are having a big family reunion in Brazil in August and I am looking forward to it/ Also, I am glad you found other things than Genealogy to entertain you...hehehe
