I took this picture when I went to boat tour in Canterbury.Along the river there are a few lovely places but this one was my favourite. If you click on the picture you will be able to see the beautiful drawings on the gate.

I love this and the art work on the gate is gorgeous!
Enlarging the photo really brings out some wonderful details besides the fabulous drawing on the gate -- birds at the feeder, the pink flowers, the yellow flowers. Delightful photo all around!
Oh Rose! This is just enthralling. Now I get to visit Canterbury on a daily basis!
So does the gate just go directly out over the river, or maybe to a boat deck?

There is no pier or decking so I doubt anyone uses it as a gate! They might use as a fishing spot, where you open the gate, sit down and catch dinner.
