My husband is very keen in buying some woodland so lately we have been visiting several woods that are up for sale.

Sure this isn't the gate into Sherwood Forest?? Are these small lots or large acreages that are for sale? Do you plan to build a home?
It's beautiful, I would live behind this gate in a small castle with deer, dogs and cats.

David didn't like it because he wants a wood for himself and had a right of way across it.

Sherwood Forest is faaaaaar from here... That wood was only 18.5 acres. You can build a shed (wood) but that is about it.
