It has changed its name several times and although it was abolished by Henry VIII it came back strong and powerful to help the people who needed help.
Today, with over 44.000 volunteers in the UK, it offers some of the best first aid courses in the country. It also provides first aid cover at major public events; emergency first aid; patient transport and a program for young people to learn about life saving skills.
