Bluebells

This is that time of the year when forests in England are covered in a carpet of bluebells.
In England it is illegal - and imoral - to pick bluebells grown in the wild.

Beautiful photo of a very delicate flower! I love the blurred green background. I did a quick search for poems about bluebells, and here's the beginning of a poem by Emily Bronte (that gets a bit sad at the end but I like this part):

The Bluebell is the sweetest flower
That waves in summer air:
Its blossoms have the mightiest power
To soothe my spirit's care.
That fills my softened heart with bliss
That words could never tell.

Thank you all for enjoying this picture. I went to the woods specially to take a picture for you. Bluebells don't live for long...

Katie,
That was lovely...
I love Emily Bronte and wish she had written more.
