Riverside Cottage
I took this picture when I went to boat tour in Canterbury. Along the river there are a few lovely places but this one was my favourite. If you click on the picture you will be able to see the beautiful drawings on the gate.
Enlarging the photo really brings out some wonderful details besides the fabulous drawing on the gate -- birds at the feeder, the pink flowers, the yellow flowers. Delightful photo all around!
Professor and Katie The real thing is a million times better. If you ever come to Canterbury, let me know and I shall take you there.
Marie I m glad you enjoy the pictures. Canterbury is simply magic. I am very lucky for living here.
Kris There is no pier or decking so I doubt anyone uses it as a gate! They might use as a fishing spot, where you open the gate, sit down and catch dinner.

Oh Rose! This is just enthralling. Now I get to visit Canterbury on a daily basis!
So does the gate just go directly out over the river, or maybe to a boat deck?
