St John Ambulance

'Our vision is that everyone who needs it should receive first aid from those around them. No one should suffer for the lack of trained first aiders'
St John Ambulance is one of the oldest charity organizations in the world. Its origins go back 900 years. It took care of the sick and poor for many years including in the crusades and First and Second World War.
It has changed its name several times and although it was abolished by Henry VIII it came back strong and powerful to help the people who needed help.
Today, with over 44.000 volunteers in the UK, it offers some of the best first aid courses in the country. It also provides first aid cover at major public events; emergency first aid; patient transport and a program for young people to learn about life saving skills.
